Part-Time Advocacy SpecialistGwinnett Sexual Assault Center & Children’s Advocacy Center (GSAC-CAC) is nationally recognized for its exemplary program and services provided on a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week basis (www.gsac-cac.org). GSAC-CAC provides comprehensive care and treatment for victims and families impacted by crimes of sexual assault and/or child sexual or physical abuse. GSAC-CAC is a dual services program meeting the unique and distinctive standards of response and care. Services provided are developmentally appropriate and specialized for child, teen or adult victims.GSAC-CAC is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as a part-time Advocacy Specialist. The Advocacy Specialist provides advocacy services and intervention assistance and case management for victims of sexual assault/abuse and their non-offending family members. Other responsibilities include statistical data entry. Must be self motivated and very detail oriented. Applicant must live within 30 minute response time to Duluth, Georgia. Hours are Monday through Friday 8AM until 2PM and some on-call crisis line coverage and back up supervision. The ideal candidate is an energetic team-player with excellent organizational, supervisory and communication skills. This part-time position requires experience in family/victim advocacy or violence against women or child abuse issues. Bi-lingual (Spanish speaking) applicants are encouraged to apply.
